Green Team Sharing Conference today at Hotel Chequamegon in AshlandDate: 5/31/2007 The Alliance for Sustainability sponsored Green Team presentation from 8 a.m. to noon. Thursday, are an excellent opportunity to learn about positive action that is happening within businesses and government in your community through the Green Team Network. Member organizations of the Green Team Network will each give a 10-minute presentation on what they have done to date to become more sustainable, focusing on successes and challenges. The presentations are free and open to the public. Green Team Network Member Organizations: City of Ashland City of Bayfield City of Washburn Chequamegon Food Co-op Wal-Mart Washburn Iron Works Apostle Islands National Lakeshore Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center Northland College WITC-Ashland Bay Area Rural Transit (BART) Bad River Tribe LCO Tribe The Green Team Nework of Early Adopters is a project of the Alliance for Sustainability funded by the Otto Bremer Foundation. This three year program will provide training, networking opportunities and technical support for participating organizations toward reducing their energy consumption and environmental impact. Each Green Team in the Network will create a sustainability action plan for their organization.
