Ayres Associates VP appointed to Wisconsin architectural and engineering board

Date: 4/17/2007
Martin Hanson, PE, vice president at Ayres Associates, was reappointed by Gov. James Doyle to the state Joint Examining Board of Architects, Landscape Architects, Professional Engineers, Designers & Land Surveyors.

Hanson's appointment was unanimously confirmed recently by the Wisconsin State Senate.

The board licenses and regulates the design professions of architects, landscape architects, professional engineers, designers of engineering systems, engineers-in-training, and land surveyors. It also regulates firms, partnerships, and corporations that provide architectural engineering design services. The board is composed of professional and public members who are appointed by the governor and confirmed by the Senate.

Hanson will serve as chairman of the Engineers Section of the Joint Board and chairman of the Joint Board.

Hanson, a registered professional engineer, is responsible for the transportation engineering services provided by Ayres Associates' Eau Claire, Green Bay, Madison, and Waukesha offices. He joined Ayres Associates in 1989 and has 29 years of transportation engineering experience.

"Marty's proven leadership skills have been invaluable to Ayres Associates over the years," said Pat Quinn, president of Ayres Associates. "He will continue to serve the state well as a member of the Joint Examining Board."

Hanson's term on the board will expire on July 1, 2009.
