On Saturday, November 10 at 10 a.m. the Duluth Nordic Ski Centerand Tischer Creek Duluth Building Company (TCDBC), affiliatedwith Duluth Edison Charter Schools (DECS) will celebratetheir new operating arrangement during the ski club's annual equipment swap. The event will occur atthe Center, 4348 RiceLake Road.

Activities will include theposting of a sign acknowledging the relationship, a ribbon cutting ceremony and free hot chocolate and cookies.

"We are celebrating and announcing the beginning of a new operating relationship with TCDBC," said John Graham, manager of the Center. "This is a huge change for us and positive development as many members of the local ski communityfeared Snowflake would close."

"We are delighted to be working with the Nordic Ski Club to offer cross country ski opportunities to the Duluth community," added Paul Goossens, TCDBC chair.

Following TCDBC purchase of the Snowflake property, the two have entered into a licensing agreement for the ski center and biathlon club to operate on the property. The ski club hosts significant cross country events each year and is the home for the East High School cross country ski club. The DECS Junior Academy cross country ski team also trains
