Pro Print earns green certification

2/11/2013

Pro Print, Inc. was recently certified for the Printing

Industry Midwest’s Great Printer Environmental Initiative, a voluntary green certification that demonstrates a commitment to minimize the company’s impact on human health and

the environment. This is the first time Pro Print has been certified in this program.

Among the 40 Minnesota printing companies that have earned the certification, Pro Print is the only one in Northeastern Minnesota.

Printing Industry Midwest (PIM) Great Printers must first fulfill government regulatory agency requirements in environmental, health and safety compliance and then go beyond those equirements. They are also required to pass an annual Printing Industries of the Midwest audit.

Customers are increasingly interested and aware of the steps that Pro Print has taken to be the most environmentally friendly printer in the Twin Ports area. Pro Print has taken many such steps over the years to get to this point, including printing with soy based inks and a company-wide recycling program. Pro Print chose a certification that would require

them to take action and help the company achieve its green objectives. They are committed to educating clients about the fact that print is sustainable and recyclable and an important part of a company’s marketing mix.
