The Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation Board of Trustees approved at the September meeting more than $60,000 in grants. “Despite the tremendous pressure these non-profits are currently under, it is amazing to see the, outstanding work they continue to accomplish to enhance the quality of life in this region,” said Holly C. Sampson, president of the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation. Grants include: John T. & Elizabeth C. Adams Arts Fund Arrowhead Chorale, Duluth: $2,973 for the “Amazing American Adventures” concert series College of St. Scholastica, Duluth: $3,500 for “A Special French Baroque Performance: Integrating the Dance and Music of the 17th and 18th Centuries” Lake Superior Youth Chorus, Duluth: $2,500 for “Irish Classical and Celtic Music Collaborations” Renegade Comedy Theatre, Duluth: $4008 for performance of “The Sparrow” Anishinabe Fund Grant Community School Collaborative, Duluth: $1,000 for Anishinabe Traditional Arts & Culture Classes State Historical Society of Wisconsin, La Pointe, Wisconsin: $300 for Madeline Island Anishinaabeg Gathering Samuel F. and Barbara H.
