A public hearing for the proposed Enbridge Line 3 replacement is scheduled from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Oct. 18 at the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center. The Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce said it continues to support the proposal.
"This public hearing appears to be our last local opportunity to provide public testimony before the (Minnesota Commerce Department) decides whether to grant the approval necessary for the project to proceed. I will attend the hearing and speak on behalf of the Chamber's leadership in support of the project," said Chamber President David Ross.
Written comments will be accepted through 4:30 p.m., Nov. 22. Comments can be made at www.mn.gov/puc/line3/participate/comment or sent by email to firstname.lastname@example.org, by fax to 651-297-7073, or by postal service to Scott Ek, Minnesota Public Utilities Commission, 121 Seventh Place E., Suite 350, St. Paul, MN 55101. "For 65 years, Enbridge has been our good neighbor. Let's do the neighborly thing and stand in solidarity with our friends, neighbors and family members employed by Enbridge," Ross said.
