Independent foodservice distributor Upper Lakes Foods (ULF) of Cloquet is opening a 100,000 square foot distribution center in Janesville, Wis. ULF adds more than 70 jobs to the Janesville area, bringing its total workforce up to 380.

Established in 1967, Upper Lakes Foods is a family-owned wholesale food distributor that services independent restaurants, healthcare, schools, and chain restaurants in the Upper Midwest. ULF is also a member of UniPro Foodservice, the largest foodservice distribution cooperative in the United States. The company has two locations in Minnesota: Cloquet and Northfield.
