Six physicians join Essentia

Dr. Nicholas Milanovich, a radiologist, has joined the Essentia Health-Duluth Clinic. He earned a medical degree from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks and completed a residency in diagnostic radiology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian in Pittsburgh. He completed a fellowship in musculoskeletal imaging at Cedar-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

Dr. Ryan Groeschl, a surgical oncology specialist, has joined the Essentia Health-Duluth Clinic. He specializes in caring for patients with cancer and benign tumors of the liver, pancreas and gastrointestinal tract. Dr. Groeschl earned a medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis and completed a residency in general surgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.

Dr. Jon Reich, a gastroenterologist, has joined the Essentia Health-Duluth Clinic and will care for patients who have conditions that impact the digestive and intestinal tracts and liver. He earned a medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School, where he also completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in gastroenterology.

Dr. Matthew Steinman has joined the Hospitalist Department at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center. Dr. Steinman earned a medical degree from Technion American Medical School in Haifa, Israel. He completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in Urbana, Ill.

Dr. Joel Kolmodin, a pediatric orthopedic surgeon, has joined the Essentia Health-Duluth Clinic. He earned a medical degree at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago and completed a residency in orthopedic surgery and a fellowship in pediatric orthopedic surgery at the Cleveland Clinic.

Dr. Timothy Borden has joined the Supportive and Palliative Care Department at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth. As a palliative care physician, Dr. Borden will care for patients with serious, chronic or life-threatening illnesses. He earned a medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia and completed a residency in emergency medicine at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in Fort Hood, Texas and a fellowship in palliative medicine at Marshfield Clinic in Marshfield, Wis.
