United Way of Greater Duluth has hired Krista Kelbe as community impact director. She earned her degree in international studies from Taylor University and served as an Americorps member for the Idaho Office of Refugees followed by a competitive overseas internship with International Justice Mission in Uganda, a non-profit legal firm that seeks to strengthen legal infrastructure in the developing world. “Krista has such a unique background and has been presented with situations that developed her flexibility and creative problem solving. She has also worked with people from all over the world.” says Paula Reed, president of United Way of Greater Duluth. “We’re really excited to have her lead our strategic efforts to impact pressing community issues in the areas of education, income, health and basic human services.” Previous Newsmakers Articles:
