Jennifer Carey has been elected president of Hanft Fride, a professional association of attorneys.
Carey replaces John Kelly, who served as the firm’s president for the past 20 years. Kelly will continue to assist clients on a full-time basis in the firm’s litigation department.
Carey has been with Hanft Fride since 1991 and practices primarily in the areas of real estate and estate planning. She also provides advice to clients in probate and business law. Carey has represented property owners, developers and lenders in a range of real estate transactions, as well as individuals and families in estate planning matters.
Carey earned her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She serves as chair of the board of trustees of the Duluth-Superior Area Community Foundation, is a member and former chair of the Arrowhead Estate Planning Council, and is a frequent presenter at estate planning and real estate seminars.
