Dean Fries, a 28-year veteran of the banking industry, has joined National Bank of Commerce (NBC) as vice president of commercial banking in NBC’s Superior bank at 1127 Tower Avenue.
Prior to joining NBC, Fries most recently was business lending manager for Members Cooperative Credit Union and, before that, vice president of commercial loans at Pioneer National Bank, both in Duluth. Earlier in his career, he also focused on commercial lending at Eagle Valley Bank in St. Croix Falls, Wis. St. Louis County Federal Savings and Loan in Duluth and TCF Banking and Savings in Minneapolis.
A native of Blaine, and a graduate of St. Cloud State University, Fries is active in the Twin Ports community. He’s on the board of directors of Residential Services, Inc., and serves on the Northland Foundation’s Technical Advisory Committee.
