The Human Development Center (HDC) promoted Jean Pierce, MA, LP, to clinical director. A licensed psychologist, she has more than 25 years of experience providing outpatient mental health services to children and families from Carlton County and beyond.
Pierce will provide leadership for HDC’s operations in the communities of Cloquet and Moose Lake. She will be supervising 13 employees and the clinical services of 1,500 clients each year.
"Jean has been a provider of high quality services at the Cloquet office for many years and we are excited to have her provide a leadership role," CEO Jeff Herman said in a news release. "She will bring her patient-centered focus and quality of care expectations to her new role, which will positively impact our staff and clients- and ultimately improve our community as a whole.”
HDC is a private, non-profit community mental health center that was established in 1938. HDC serves residents and Carlton, Cook, Lake, and southern St. Louis counties in northeastern Minnesota and in Douglas County in northwestern Wisconsin. Previous Newsmakers Articles:
