KUMD's Johnson honored with environmental award

Duluth, MN. - KUMD 103.3 FM's Northland Morning Show host Lisa Johnson will be awarded with the 2009 Environmental Stewardship Award for Media, today January 19, at 6:30 p.m. in the Conference Center at the WITC Superior campus (600 21st Street). The award is presented by St. Louis River Alliance to a member of the media who has made outstanding contributions to environmental stewardship in the St. Louis River area.

Johnson was nominated for this award for her significant contributions through KUMD's Northland Morning Show in educating the public on local, regional and national environmental issues. She has been the voice of KUMD's Northland Morning since 1991.
