Tina Knowlton, National Bank of Commerce

10/19/2009

Tina Knowlton earned a distinguished service award for her dedication to the community through the Kiwanis Club of Superior. She has been a Kiwanis member for almost five years, serving on the Board of Directors for four of those years.

As part of her Kiwanis involvement, Knowlton has participated in activities such as the children’s activity tent at the Dragon Boat Festival, highway clean up, collecting supplies/donations for the Center Against Sexual and Domestic Abuse Shelter, a hat and mitten drive, blood drive, March of Dimes walks, and the family day sponsored by the Superior Stampede football team for the March of Dimes. She also is the Kiwanis advisor to the Superior High School Key Club. Through that initiative she has assisted in the Crayons for Haiti Project.

Knowlton is a real estate loan officer for NBC Mortgage Services and has been employed at National Bank of Commerce since 1997. Her philosophy of giving back to the community dovetails with that of National Bank of Commerce, which gives approximately $150,000 annually through sponsorships, donations and scholarships.

National Bank of Commerce, with offices in Superior, Duluth, Hermantown, Poplar and Solon Springs, is the area’s largest, independent locally-owned community bank. Its website is nbofc.com.
