Young adults sought for IRRRB task force

6/18/2013 9:37:26 AM

Are you a young person ages 18 to 34 who wants to have your voice heard? Are you looking to make a difference in the future of northeastern Minnesota?

If so, I encourage you to apply for the Better IRRRB Task Force. This 15-person task force is charged with protecting Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board (IRRRB) resources and developing strategies for improving the agency and helping it evolve with the times.

This task force will be chaired by Ron Dicklich and will include four community representatives, four local elected officials, four IRRR Board members, and two yet-to-be named next generation members, ages 18-34. A fresh perspective from these younger members will be invaluable, especially when developing creative solutions and long-term strategies for the region.

To apply, simply submit a resume along with written responses to the following questions:

Why would you like to serve on the Better IRRRB Task Force?
What is your vision of a better future for the Iron Range?

Please email responses to me at t.sertich@state.mn.us by Wednesday, June 26, 2013.

By the way, even if you’re not eligible to apply, please help me spread the word about this opportunity to anyone you know who might be interested. Thank you!

Sincerely,
Tony Sertich
IRRRB Commissioner
