Cirrus Aircraft unveils Generation 2 Vision Jet

Cirrus Aircraft announced the launch of its next generation Vision JetTM – called the ‘G2’ – which the Duluth-based company said offers enhanced performance, comfort and safety.

The single-engine personal jet features a higher cruise altitude, speed and range, Cirrus said. It also has a newly-upgraded Perspective Touch flight deck made by Garmin, new executive seats, noise reduction and a passenger productivity console.

“The Cirrus Aircraft story is one of relentless innovation,” said Pat Waddick, president of innovation and operations. “Much like the last 20 years of re-imagining the SR Series with constant improvements to performance, safety and comfort, the G2 Vision Jet is the culmination of that same spirit of innovation.”

The Vision Jet received FAA certification in 2016. In 2018, it was awarded the most prestigious award in aeronautics – the Robert J. Collier Trophy. Almost 100 customer deliveries have made made to date. G2 Vision Jets begin delivering this month.
