Work begins Monday, July 9 to replace the Tilson Creek and Jackfish Bay bridges on Hwy 11 in International Falls, according to information from the Minnesota Department of Transportation. Motorists will be restricted to a single lane controlled by portable traffic signals. Short delays are expected. The project is scheduled for completion in June 2013. The new bridges will have wider shoulders than the old bridges had and each bridge includes a 10-foot-wide pedestrian trail separated from vehicle traffic by a concrete median.
