Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board Commissioner Tony Sertich will be taking on another role in the Northland. Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton has appointed Sertich to the Seaway Port Authority of Duluth board, replacing Lowell Hellervik, who has been treasurer. Sertich will begin his term on Feb. 25. It continues until January of 2019. Sertich is a fourth generation Iron Range resident and was appointed commissioner of the IRRRB in January 2011 by Dayton. Previous to his appointment on the IRRRB, Sertich served in the Minnesota House of Representatives for more than a decade. In 2006, Sertich was elected House majority leader.
