An Ice Bar is opening at Giants Ridge on February 8. The Ice Bar will be created by Chris Swarbrick from Ice Occasions who is considered one of the state’s best ice carvers, winning the St. Paul Winter Carnival’s Multi-block competition three of the past four years.

Creation of the Ice Bar will be February 6-7, located at the base of the alpine mountain outside of The Lodge Condos with opening set for Friday, February 8 from 4-10 p.m. The Ice Bar will also be open Saturdays and Sundays from 12-10 p.m. until it melts. Construction of the Ice Bar will be chronicled on the Giants Ridge facebook page with videos and photos.

An Ice Bar Fest will be held two special days with music, BBQ and prize drawings on Friday, February 15 from 4-10 p.m. and Saturday, February 16 from 12-10 p.m.

The Ice Bar will have nightly bonfires, marshmallow roasting for hot drinks, Kraft premium beers, ales, wine, hot drinks, and an ice luge shot.
