Halvor Lines has earned a spot on the Best Fleets to Drive For list in 2017. This is the fifth consecutive year the Superior-based trucking and logistics company has made the list.

“We are proud to be recognized as a Best Fleet, but we are more proud of the team that got us here,” said Deb Landry, director of driver services at Halvor Lines. “Our drivers are the key to our success.”

Best Fleets to Drive For is an annual survey and contest that recognizes 20 for-hire carriers from across North America for providing exemplary work environments for their professional truck drivers and employees. It is produced by CarriersEdge in partnership with the Truckload Carriers Association.

“We constantly strive for improvement with everything we do, whether it’s providing free exercise equipment and healthy snacks or making equipment purchasing decisions,” said Adam Lang, chief risk officer. “The Best Fleets program gives us a metric to measure our success with our employees against, so that we can always strive to do more in terms of benefits, equipment and pay.”

“I attribute much of our success to 49 years of building a strong company culture,” explained  Jon Vinje, CEO of Halvor Lines. “We also have great respect for our employees and operate our business under the golden rule.”
